Role Description

As a Front Of House Professional at LI~LY Restaurant by Aiden Byrne, you will be responsible for delivering a refined, welcoming guest experience from arrival through departure. This full-time, on-site role in Knutsford includes greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, explaining tasting courses and drink pairings, and managing table service to fine-dining standards. You will handle guest enquiries, support reservations and booking confirmations, coordinate with the kitchen and sommelier team, and ensure service flows smoothly throughout lunch and dinner. The role involves preparing and maintaining the dining room setup, monitoring guest satisfaction, resolving issues promptly and professionally, and upholding the restaurant’s service, hygiene, and safety standards. You will also assist with billing, payment processing, and closing procedures, contributing to a consistently high-quality and memorable experience for every guest.

Qualifications

  • Strong front-of-house service skills, including greeting guests, managing reservations, and delivering attentive table service in a premium or fine-dining environment.
  • Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, with the ability to describe tasting menus, explain pairings, and make confident, informed recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, calm manner and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of guests.
  • Attention to detail in presentation, cleanliness, and order, ensuring the dining room and service stations meet high aesthetic and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and sommelier teams, adapting to changing service demands and maintaining smooth service flow.
  • Previous experience in upscale, boutique, or fine-dining hospitality roles is highly beneficial; bar or wine service experience is an advantage.
  • High level of personal integrity, reliability, and punctuality, with a commitment to delivering consistent, guest-focused service.
