Aspire People are working in partnership with one of our highly regarded primary schools in Loughborough to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting this September. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated graduate who is looking to gain practical experience in a primary school before progressing into teacher training or a long-term career in education. You'll become an integral part of the school community, supporting teachers in the classroom and helping pupils to achieve both academically and personally. No two days are the same, making this the ideal role for someone who is energetic, adaptable, and passionate about helping children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support alongside the class teacher.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Assist in preparing engaging learning activities and classroom resources.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons.
  • Support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and confidence throughout the school day.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all pupils.

About You:

  • Hold a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree.
  • Have experience working with children, whether through schools, tutoring, coaching, childcare, youth work, or volunteering.
  • Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Have a genuine passion for education and child development.
  • Be enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, resilient, and able to adapt to the needs of different learners.
  • Work well as part of a team while also using your own initiative when required.
