About LILT AI is changing how the world communicates — and LILT is leading that transformation. We are on a mission to make the world's information accessible to everyone, regardless of the language they speak. We use cutting-edge AI, machine translation, and human-in-the-loop expertise to translate content faster, more accurately, and more cost‑effectively without compromising on brand, voice, or quality. At LILT, we empower our teammates with leading tools, global collaboration, and growth opportunities to do their best work. Our company virtues—Work together, win together; Find a way or make one; Quicker than they expect; Quality is Job 1—guide everything we do.

The Business Operations (BizOps) Team at LILT's mission is to continuously adapt LILT's operations so that we can quickly and efficiently sell and deliver solutions to customers. We are a team of strategic operators who partner across the organization to drive data‑informed decision making, operational excellence, and high-impact initiatives that scale the business.

What You'll Do

  • Tackle the company's most ambiguous, high-impact challenges — starting with unclear problems, diagnosing root causes, defining success criteria and resource requirements, and driving cross‑functional alignment to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives: Take ambiguous, loosely‑defined problems and transform them into clear action plans — diagnose root causes, define goals and success metrics, identify resource needs, prioritize against competing initiatives, and drive stakeholder alignment across people, process, data, and systems to deliver outcomes.
  • Manage the Business Intelligence team: Oversee the BI team to ensure robust data collection, reporting, and analysis across all company metrics, including revenue, margins, efficiency, and customer health.
  • Own Sigma implementation and management: Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Sigma as our company‑wide BI and application tool; build dashboards, applications, and workflows that enable data connectivity and self‑service analytics.
  • Drive cross‑functional improvements: Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data infrastructure across the business; evaluate trade‑offs across people, process, data, and technology; design and implement solutions that increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion data‑driven decision making: Build the systems and culture that enable leaders to make informed decisions quickly; translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • End‑to‑end problem ownership: Define success criteria upfront, coordinate resources across functional boundaries, navigate organizational complexity and competing priorities, hold teams accountable, and drive execution to measurable outcomes.
  • Support annual and strategic planning: Diagnose gaps between company goals and current trajectory, support leadership in developing annual operating plans, quarterly OKRs, and long‑term initiatives.

How You'll Work

  • Diagnostic problem‑solving: Instinctively break down complex, ambiguous problems into root causes and actionable workstreams; ask “why” until you understand the real issue, not just the symptoms.
  • Systems thinking: Naturally evaluate trade‑offs across people, process, data, and technology before recommending solutions; consider second‑order effects and unintended consequences.
  • Ruthless prioritization: Assess new requests against existing roadmap and company goals; make data‑informed recommendations on what not to do and articulate the opportunity cost of every decision.
  • Navigating ambiguity to drive clarity: Create a path forward that gets buy‑in when faced with unclear problems, competing stakeholder needs, or novel situations with no playbook.
  • Bias for action: Take ownership even when responsibilities aren’t clearly defined; comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating based on feedback.

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, analytics, or related roles at a leading B2B Enterprise company.
  • Proven generalist operator with track record of driving impact across multiple functional areas (go‑to‑market, finance, operations, product).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills: proficiency with SQL and BI tools (Sigma experience a plus); ability to build dashboards, analyze data, and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Experience managing or leading teams, including providing coaching, feedback, and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems and drive them to measurable outcomes — from diagnosis through execution.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to influence and negotiate with senior executives and drive alignment across functions.
  • Autonomous and curious problem‑solver who thrives in fast‑paced environments where priorities shift rapidly.

You're Not Right For This Role If:

  • You prefer well‑defined projects with clear requirements and established processes.
  • You need full context and perfect information before taking action.
  • You're more comfortable as an advisor than an owner who drives execution.
  • You expect systems, processes, and answers to already exist rather than building them.

Our Story

Our founders, Spence and John met at Google working on Google Translate. As researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone. While together at Google, they were amazed to learn that Google Translate wasn’t used for enterprise products and services inside the company. The quality just wasn’t there. So they set out to build something better. LILT was born. LILT has been a machine learning company since its founding in 2015. At the time, machine translation didn’t meet the quality standard for enterprise translations, so LILT assembled a cutting‑edge research team tasked with closing that gap. While meeting customer demand for translation services, LILT has prioritized investments in Large Language Models, human‑in‑the‑loop systems, and now agentic AI. With AI innovation accelerating and enterprise demand growing, the next phase of LILT’s journey is just beginning.

Our Tech

What sets our platform apart: Brand‑aware AI that learns your voice, tone, and terminology to ensure every translation is accurate and consistent. Agentic AI workflows that automate the entire translation process from content ingestion to quality review to publishing. 100+ native integrations with systems like Adobe Experience Manager, Webflow, Salesforce, GitHub, and Google Drive to simplify content translation. Human‑in‑the‑loop reviews via our global network of professional linguists, for high‑impact content that requires expert review.
