What You’ll Do As a Freelance Technical Writer with a research background, you will act as the primary translator between LILT’s high-level computational breakthroughs and our global audience.
- Deep Research Insights: Collaborate as a peer with our Research Team. You will digest market whitepapers, published papers, experimental data, and new LLMs to produce technical marketing material, research blogs, and "State of the Art" reports.
- Own the Knowledge Base: Gather information, write, and review content for the LILT Knowledge Base, ensuring technical accuracy in descriptions of our LLM Benchmarks, model assessments, and adaptive AI products.
- Liaise with GTM: Produce content for a variety of consumers, from technical customers, buyers, product leaders, and enterprise AI leaders.
- Strategic Content Architecture: Use your industry knowledge to inform content and informational messaging strategies, whether for pitch decks or for advertising.
Skills and Experience
- Research Pedigree: An MS or PhD (or in progress) in a computational science field (e.g., Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Physics, or Mathematics).
- Subject Matter Expertise: A deep understanding of Data Operations, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLMs development, and/or post-training efforts. You should be comfortable reading and interpreting academic papers.
- Technical Writing Excellence: Proven experience writing software support documentation and research-focused marketing collateral. You can move seamlessly between a "How-To" guide and a deep-dive technical blog post.
- Inquisitive Mindset: The ability to ask "Level 3" questions to our engineers and scientists, probing beyond the surface to get to the core of a new technical implementation.
- Independence: A self-starter who manages complex projects with minimal supervision and meets strict deadlines.
