About LILT
LILT is a machine‑learning company focused on transforming the translation industry by combining AI, machine translation and human‑in‑the‑loop expertise. The company serves enterprise customers such as Intel, Canva and the U.S. Department of Defense, leveraging its proprietary platform to deliver faster, more accurate translations.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Manager on the BizOps team, you will address the company’s most ambiguous, high‑impact challenges. You will partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives, manage the Business Intelligence team, and own the implementation and management of Sigma, our BI and application tool.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives: convert ambiguous problems into clear action plans, diagnose root causes, define goals and success metrics, prioritize initiatives, and align stakeholders across people, process, data, and systems.
- Manage the Business Intelligence team: oversee data collection, reporting, and analysis for all company metrics, including revenue, margins, efficiency, and customer health.
- Own Sigma implementation and management: lead deployment and ongoing management of Sigma, build dashboards, applications, and workflows that enable data connectivity and self‑service analytics.
- Drive cross‑functional improvements: identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data infrastructure; evaluate trade‑offs; design and implement solutions that increase efficiency and scalability.
- Champion data‑driven decision making: build systems and culture that enable leaders to make informed decisions quickly; translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- End‑to‑end problem ownership: define success criteria, coordinate resources across functions, navigate organizational complexity, hold teams accountable, and drive execution to measurable outcomes.
- Support annual and strategic planning: diagnose gaps between company goals and current trajectory, and support leadership in developing annual operating plans, quarterly OKRs, and long‑term initiatives.
How You’ll Work
- Diagnostic problem‑solving: break down complex, ambiguous problems into root causes and actionable workstreams; ask “why” until the real issue is understood.
- Systems thinking: evaluate trade‑offs across people, process, data, and technology before recommending solutions; consider second‑order effects and unintended consequences.
- Ruthless prioritization: assess new requests against the existing roadmap and company goals; make data‑informed recommendations on what not to do and articulate opportunity costs.
- Navigating ambiguity to drive clarity: when faced with unclear problems or competing stakeholder needs, create a path forward that obtains buy‑in rather than waiting for perfect information.
- Bias for action: take ownership even when responsibilities are not clearly defined; make decisions with incomplete information and iterate based on feedback.
Skills and Experience
- 7+ years in business operations, strategy, consulting, analytics, or related roles at a leading B2B enterprise company.
- Proven generalist operator with a track record of driving impact across multiple functional areas (go‑to‑market, finance, operations, product).
- Strong analytical and technical skills: proficiency with SQL and BI tools; experience building dashboards and translating data into recommendations.
- Experience managing or leading teams, including coaching, feedback, and development.
- Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems and drive them to measurable outcomes from diagnosis through execution.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives and drive alignment across functions.
- Autonomous and curious problem‑solver who thrives in fast‑paced environments where priorities shift rapidly.
You're Not Right for This Role If
- You prefer well‑defined projects with clear requirements and established processes.
- You need full context and perfect information before taking action.
- You're more comfortable as an advisor than an owner who drives execution.
- You expect systems, processes, and answers to already exist rather than building them.
