The Position
We are looking for a confident Head Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be friendly, well-presented and passionate about food, drink and hospitality. You will make sure the day to day running of reception is smooth and organised and your passion for great service will help you respond to guest queries in a timely manner, and actioning as required. Your attention to details is key, you’ll be following up any special requests related to reservations, recording any information about special requirements or preferences from our guests and using it to give the special touch to their experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Reception & Reservations manager with diary management and floor planning, adjusting when needed or asked availability as needed to protect pacing and maximise cover yield.
- Monitor booking patterns and assist in forecasting cover pace for upcoming services.
- Ensure system accuracy across all reservations – contact details, guest notes, dietary requirements and occasion tags.
- Step in to manage reservations during peak periods or in the Reception & Reservation Managers absence.
Guest Experience & Profile Development
- Personally greet and engage with VIPs, industry contacts and regular guests, ensuring a consistently polished welcome.
- Capture and update detailed guest preferences, seating requests, drink orders and special notes in Seven rooms.
- Champion the creation and refinement of guest profiles; train team members to gather high-quality information.
- Support the team in recognising and engaging with VIPs and regulars consistently.
- Coordinate with the floor and kitchen to brief on specific needs and timing adjustments.
