About the Role:
We are looking for a talented designer to create seasonal lingerie and swimwear collections, from initial concept to finished product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure collections are not only on-trend and innovative but also commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal collections across lingerie and swimwear.
- Produce original concepts, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with product developers and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready.
- Source fabrics, trims, and materials to bring designs to life.
- Stay ahead of fashion trends to maintain fresh and innovative collections.
- Lead collection development workshops with buying and merchandising teams, using data, customer insights, and trend research.
- Align designs with brand strategy to deliver commercially successful collections.
- Translate runway and emerging trends into wearable, commercial collections.
- Prepare accurate technical specifications and packs for suppliers.
- Stay continuously updated on fashion trends, colours, and fabrics.
- Mentor and support the development of junior design team members.
- Work closely with suppliers to provide guidance on trends, fabrics, and collection direction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing lingerie and/or swimwear, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Ability to design cohesive, storytelling collections that meet briefs and suit seasonal trends.
- Experience building strong product ranges and working effectively with buying teams.
- Strong understanding of global trend and colour forecasting.
- Good understanding of the customer base and competitive market landscape.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong eye for design, colour, and silhouette.
- Quick to respond to emerging trends and adapt collections accordingly.
