Ready for your next step in domiciliary care management? Advanced Care is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join their Coventry team and support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and development of an established domiciliary care service.

We're looking for someone who already has Deputy Manager experience within domiciliary or home care and is confident leading people, maintaining high standards of care and compliance, and working in a busy, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have genuine responsibility, work closely with the Registered Manager and play an important part in the continued development of the service.

About Advanced Care: Advanced Care has been providing professional home care services across Coventry since 1999, supporting people to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. The service provides a range of care including short-term care, intermediate and enablement support, long-term care and personal care.

About the Role: This is a varied and fast-paced management position. The service can receive up to 40 new short-term referrals per week, alongside long-term and private referrals, so you'll need to be organised, proactive and comfortable making decisions in a busy environment. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help oversee the smooth running of the service while maintaining high standards of care, compliance and staff support.

  • Support with referrals, assessments, care packages, staffing levels, care planning, risk assessments and service reviews.
  • Ensure the service remains compliant with CQC requirements and company policies.
  • Take an active role in day-to-day decision-making and the on-call rota.
  • Support and develop the care team, including recruitment and onboarding, training and induction, supervision, mentoring, appraisals, performance management and helping to coordinate rotas and staffing requirements.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement, responding appropriately to concerns, incidents and complaints.
  • Work closely with families, commissioners, professionals and external agencies.
  • Support the Registered Manager with service development, identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

About You: You'll need previous Deputy Manager experience within domiciliary or home care and be confident taking responsibility within a busy care environment. You should have a strong understanding of CQC requirements and domiciliary care standards, together with experience managing, supervising and developing care staff. Experience working within a busy, high-volume care environment would be particularly beneficial.

We're looking for someone with strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills who can manage competing priorities and build positive relationships with staff, families and external professionals. Good IT skills and experience using care management systems are required, along with the ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rota. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Desirable Experience: An NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent would be beneficial, as would a Level 5 qualification or a willingness to work towards one. Experience using systems such as PASS or Care Planner, working with local authority commissioning and referrals, or working within short-term, intermediate or enablement services would also be advantageous. Experience contributing to service growth and development would be welcomed.

What's on Offer: The salary is £32,000–£35,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside performance-related incentives, paid mileage and an on-call allowance. You'll also receive a pension, training and development opportunities, ongoing career progression and support from an experienced management team.

This is an opportunity to take on a key leadership position within an established Coventry care provider and play an important role in the continued development of the service.

Interested? If you're an experienced Domiciliary Care Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge and you're ready to take on a hands-on leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.
