Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage all sprint ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation sessions, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with the development team, digital delivery team and key stakeholders to ensure that sprints are well executed and sprint goals are met.
  • Help teams identify and manage dependencies and risks early in the sprint cycle.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the teams in refining and improving their sprint processes.
  • Coach and support teams in applying Agile principles and Scrum methodologies effectively, fostering self‑organisation and accountability.
  • Facilitate the removal of impediments to team progress, working with stakeholders to resolve blockers quickly.

Backlog Management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a healthy and prioritised product backlog.
  • Manage the sprint backlog, ensuring that tasks are prioritised according to business needs, and that the backlog is continuously updated and maintained.
  • Help the team maintain a sustainable pace and balanced workload aligned with sprint goals.

Capacity & Utilisation Management

  • Facilitate discussions on team capacity to support realistic sprint commitments and a sustainable workload aligned with sprint goals.
  • Provide data‑driven insights into team performance and utilisation to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Monitor sprint metrics and Agile KPIs, including velocity, burn‑down charts and team capacity.

Offshore Supplier & Team Collaboration

  • Liaise with offshore development teams, ensuring alignment with in‑house teams and seamless integration into sprint processes.
  • Conduct supplier reviews with offshore teams, ensuring consistent delivery of work and addressing any issues related to quality or communication.
  • Foster effective collaboration between onshore and offshore teams, ensuring shared understanding, alignment and communication throughout the sprint cycle.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the development team, IT team, digital delivery team and key stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key sprint metrics, risks and any deviations from the plan.
  • Facilitate transparency and alignment between business and delivery teams through clear communication, sprint reviews and data‑driven insights.
  • Respect the value of information by following Likewize's data protection / information security policies and procedures.

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in a software development environment.
  • Hands‑on experience managing sprints and product backlogs in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience working with IT teams and digital delivery teams.
  • Experience coaching teams in Agile principles and fostering self‑organisation.
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
  • Strong experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams effectively.
  • Analytical mindset, with experience tracking sprint metrics and generating reports on team performance, capacity and utilisation.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore development teams and managing supplier relationships.
  • ITIL V4 foundation certificate or similar.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
