Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the success of our construction projects, from pre-construction planning through final completion. The successful candidate will lead projects across multiple sectors, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project execution including planning, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, construction, and close-out.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned projects to ensure successful delivery aligned with scope, timelines, and budget.
- Interpret and analyze architectural and structural blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate detailed take-offs and material ordering to ensure accuracy and efficiency in procurement.
- Identify and document changes to scope; initiate, price, negotiate, and manage all change orders and variations.
- Collaborate with estimators and finance team to update cost projections and maintain project profitability.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify risks, ensure quality control, and verify safety compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact between site supervisors, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants.
- Lead project meetings and maintain proactive communication with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Motivate and support cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.
- Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of project coordinators and junior staff.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including RFIs, submittals, inspection reports, and closeout packages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial project management, preferably in building envelope or roofing systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and project management software.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and construction law in Saskatchewan and Western Canada.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
