About LightWork AI
LightWork AI is building the operating system for the property industry.
Our platform, Felicity, is an intelligent AI assistant that automates the operational workload that slows down letting and estate agents. Felicity manages communications, compliance workflows, maintenance coordination and scheduling, enabling property businesses to operate with the efficiency of modern digital platforms.
We are already live with pilot customers, with overwhelmingly positive feedback and strong demand as we scale toward revenue in 2026.
The Role
This is a six-month internship for someone who wants a career in product and wants to gain real experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will learn the product the way the best product people do: by testing it, breaking it, and understanding exactly where and why it falls short of what a customer expects.
In a company built on AI, trust comes from quality. You will work alongside our product team on how we know Felicity is performing: the evaluation suites we run, the test scenarios we write, the flagged conversations we triage every day, and the product decisions that come out of all three.
We are a small, AI-augmented team. Much of our weekly rhythm runs through lightweight agentic workflows: priorities planning, daily standups, and a daily critical-error review where flagged conversations are triaged and logged. You will be in the middle of that from week one, and we are looking for someone with the mindset that can thrive here.
You do not need a specific tech stack and you do not need to have done this before. You need to be sharp, genuinely excited about AI, and the kind of person who chases a problem until they understand the root cause. The work is real: what you find changes what we build. For an exceptional performer, there is potential to convert to a permanent role at the end of the six months.
What You Will Do
AI Evaluation & Quality
β Write and maintain test scenarios across product areas such as Prospecting, Maintenance, Compliance, email and voice.
β Run through new features before they ship, hunt for the cases that break them, and write up what you find clearly enough for it to be acted upon.
β Track how the product performs against our evaluation suites over time, flag regressions early, and chase them to a resolution.
β Mine real customer conversations and calls for new scenarios, so what we test reflects how the product is actually used.
Issue Triage & Product Operations
β Take part in the daily critical-error review: work through flagged conversations in the admin dashboard, work out what each one actually means, and log the outcome.
β Learn to separate configuration, data, user error and genuine product bugs, and route each one with the context engineering needs to move quickly.
Learning The Product Craft
β Turn what you find in testing and triage into well-framed problems, and see them through to a shipped fix.
β Write clear, concise documentation: test cases, bug reports, and eventually your own product specs.
β Get close to customers and the lettings domain, so your judgment on what matters is grounded in the real workflow, not guesswork.
Requirements
Must Have
β The right to work in the UK. We cannot offer visa sponsorship.
β The ability to start immediately.
β Graduated within the last 18 months, with a degree in a STEM subject from a top university.
β Able to work from our Victoria office four days a week, with one day remote.
β Genuinely switched on. You pick things up fast, you reason clearly, and you can hold a technical conversation without needing it simplified.
β Real enthusiasm for AI. You use AI tools daily, you follow where the field is going, and you have opinions about what is good and what is not.
β A methodical, root-cause approach. You are not satisfied with what broke; you want to know why.
β Clear written communication. A bug report or a test case is only as useful as it is readable.
β A serious work ethic and a can-do attitude. This is a lean team, the pace is quick, and we want someone who runs at problems rather than waiting to be handed them.
Strongly Preferred
β Previous experience in product or software engineering, including internships or placements
β Things you have built or shipped yourself, whether that is a side project, an agentic workflow, or something you automated because it annoyed you.
β Familiarity with tools such as Linear, Notion and Slack.
Nice To Have
β Basic SQL or comfort exploring data directly.
β Any exposure to testing, QA or AI evaluation, formal or otherwise.
β Exposure to property management, lettings, real estate or PropTech. Not required, as we will teach you the domain.
Why Join LightWork AI?
β A six-month internship with real ownership at an early-stage company building AI infrastructure for a massive global industry.
β The fastest route into product: you will learn the product by measuring it, which is the skill most product people acquire years too late.
β Direct exposure to the founders and the core team, in the room where decisions are made.
β Potential to convert to a permanent role for exceptional performance.
