We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. Your opportunity:
- Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, both individually and in small groups, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education.
- This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.

What we are looking for:
- Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and a HLTA qualification (or working towards).
- Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning.
- Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
- Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
- Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.
About Lightwater Village Infant and Junior School:
Our school stands at the heart of the village community of Lightwater. We offer an outstanding start to education for children from 2 to 11 years old, consistently achieving excellence, yet also engaging children in imaginative and exciting themes whereby learning comes alive. Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Lightwater Village Infant and Junior School, our cluster includes the following other schools: Springfield, Cordwalles, Pine Ridge and Lorraine. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across this cluster, to share expertise and experience, ensuring all children in our schools receive an excellent education and reach their potential. It also provides opportunities for career progression across the cluster and gives you the chance to further your professional development.

- Salary: £27,061 FTE
- Pay Scale: GLF Specialist 1
- Actual Salary: £21,987.06
- Hours: 34hrs per week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.15am - 3.15pm and Wednesday 8.15am – 4.45pm (39 weeks per year)
