As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing sales cycles, and building relationships with education leaders across your territory. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales leadership to identify customer needs and demonstrate how Lightspeed’s solutions can help schools achieve their goals. This role is ideal for someone with early sales experience who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and developing a consultative sales approach in the UK.
About The Role- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow‑up, and networking activities.
- Manage the sales process from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer challenges, priorities, and technology initiatives.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations to school and trust stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and sales documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects and customers throughout the buying process.
- Support customer renewal and expansion conversations when appropriate.
- Build and maintain an accurate pipeline within Salesforce CRM.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, webinars, and lead‑generation initiatives.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer events as required.
- Stay informed on education technology trends and market developments.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a customer‑facing commercial role.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
