We are looking for a Field Implementation Consultant to join our team in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for providing on-site service and technical assistance for our Point of Sale products in the Hospitality industry, including restaurants, hotels, and bars. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth go-live process, setting our strategic customers up for success, representing Lightspeed in the UK, and leveraging the social nature of the industry to promote our product and grow our customer base by delivering exceptional service. You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of projects focused on innovating and improving our processes to ensure a best-in-class experience and success for our customers. What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Travel to customers’ locations to facilitate their implementation of hardware and provide technical support.
  • Plan and organize onsite training sessions with business owners, management, and staff on the POS system.
  • Guide customers through setup, implementations, and integrations.
  • Install/troubleshoot networking devices including routers and wireless access points.
  • Document and track customer installation details, schematics, and other on-site services.
  • Report progress to your Team Lead and Installation Coordinator.
  • Ensure all hardware is present before going onsite.
  • Manage your schedule and collaborate with the Installation Coordinator for efficient planning.
  • Communicate with the development team regarding customer and product issues.
  • Represent Lightspeed as a company ambassador.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Work closely with the Launch and Professional Services team to improve customer experience.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry and interacting with customers to deliver value.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at various stages.
  • Ability to collaborate with the Field Sales team pre and post sales.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Preferred but not necessary:

  • Passion for technology.
  • Technical or hardware installation/support experience.
  • Networking knowledge.
  • Experience in POS, SaaS, networking, or software.
