We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Sales Engineer / Solution Consultant to join our dynamic team. The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in revenue generation by influencing deal strategy, solution design, competitive positioning, and customer confidence throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote & Field Sales Support: Provide on-site discovery, customer meetings and in-person demonstrations across the North and Midlands, operating autonomously while representing the company.
- Sales Execution & Deal Ownership: Partner with Account Executives to scope, design and validate technical solutions, assess customer needs, identify risks and recommend optimal solutions that enable successful deal progression and closure.
- Revenue & Risk Enablement: Surface technical risks, constraints and dependencies early in the sales cycle, improving forecasting accuracy and ensuring a smooth hand‑over to implementation teams.
- Strategic Account Management: Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers to support retention, satisfaction and expansion, providing technical insight to renewal and growth conversations.
- GTM Team Collaboration: Contribute technical expertise within GTM channels, providing timely product and integration guidance to accelerate sales.
- Trade Shows and Industry Events: Support technical execution of trade shows and events, including system set‑up and on‑site troubleshooting.
- Competitor and Industry Expertise: Maintain strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, supporting sales teams with positioning and differentiation.
- Product & Technical Expertise: Build deep expertise across hardware, software, integrations and APIs, serving as a reliable technical resource.
- Partnerships and Ecosystems: Deliver Tier 1 partner demonstrations, strengthen relationships and contribute to ecosystem growth.
- RFPs and RFIs: Own technical responses, coordinating inputs from Product, Security, Legal and other teams.
- Demo Stations and Demo Accounts: Ensure demo stations and accounts are current and representative of real customer use cases.
- Implementation and Professional Services Alignment: Work closely with Implementation and Professional Services before and after deal close to ensure a smooth transition.
- Close relationship with regional sales leaders: Align priorities, deal strategy and regional requirements.
- Product and Product Marketing Collaboration: Share structured feedback and support product design and messaging.
- Documentation and Operational Excellence: Own clear, accurate and timely documentation of requirements and technical decisions.
What You Need To Bring
- Demonstrated experience in sales, solutions consulting, or customer‑facing technical roles.
- Exposure to cloud‑based SaaS technologies, ideally in hospitality or retail.
- Strong technical curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry; hands‑on restaurant experience is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- A collaborative mindset and strong relationship‑building across Sales, Product and Delivery teams.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, commercial environment with evolving priorities.
- A basic understanding of APIs and integrations (or willingness to develop this skill).
- Right to work in the country of application.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
