Overview
Lightspeed is looking for a Field Sales Account Executive to join our Scotland hospitality field sales team. You will have a physical presence across either Glasgow or Edinburgh and drive the sales cycle each month from lead generation, to demonstrations, to closing deals.
What you’ll be doing
- Becoming an expert in the UK hospitality industry
- Monitoring competitors, their products and marketing strategies
- Researching and forecasting sales, developing sales strategies for your catchment area and evaluating effectiveness
- Converting prospects into customers through in-person methods such as door-to-door, cold calling and presentations
- Carrying out the full sales cycle: identifying leads, meeting clients, creating value propositions, structuring deals, negotiating contracts, and closing
- Visiting customers regularly to identify business challenges and pain points
- Conducting in-person demonstrations of the retail product
- Maintaining up-to-date records within Salesforce CRM
- Creating new business through network events
What you’ll be bringing
- Relevant sales experience in a field and outbound environment, preferably in solution-sales/technology
- Strong experience in hospitality
- Strong understanding of sales development best practices
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM to manage pipeline
- Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic, quota-driven environment
- Proficiency in English; other languages are a plus
