Dutch Content Specialist, Hospitality (FTC)

Lightspeed is looking for a hands-on content writer fluent in Dutch to be the voice of Lightspeed Restaurant for the Dutch- and French-speaking markets in Europe.

As a key member of Lightspeed’s dynamic in-house content team, you’ll deliver content for a range of projects on multiple channels. You’ll be the go-to expert on Lightspeed’s suite of software solutions for restaurants, supporting the hospitality marketing team with campaign ideation and execution, editorial planning, and additional initiatives that expand our reach into new and existing markets. Your work will have a direct impact on positioning Lightspeed as the leading platform for restaurants.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering polished, creative, and impactful copy that supports go-to-market strategies, multichannel marketing activations, and product launches.
  • Crafting, editing, and localizing compelling content for integrated campaigns, events, blogs, brand initiatives, partnerships, and customer stories.
  • Creating and editing storytelling-driven content for social media to strengthen brand presence and boost engagement.
  • Creating and managing website content with a focus on SEO—ensuring consistency with brand voice and style, while optimizing for search visibility and user experience.
  • Localizing content from English into Dutch (or Flemish) and French with cultural and linguistic accuracy.
  • Working closely with the Senior Content Writers in the region to maintain a unified brand voice and style across all platforms, while supporting them with proofreading, brainstorming, and localizations.
  • Developing a good knowledge of our key products, customers, and businesses, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Staying up to date on hospitality industry news and trends.

You’ll bring to the team:

  • 1-3 years of experience in SAAS marketing, copywriting, or journalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Native-level proficiency in Dutch (or Flemish), and the ability to localize content accurately from English.
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to switch comfortably between markets, creative ideation, and product writing depending on project requirements.
  • Experience writing and initiating ideas for social media.
  • Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and Hootsuite.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders including design, sales, and global content teams.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • SEO knowledge.
  • You have a strong affinity with the hospitality sector.
  • Experience leveraging AI or machine learning for content.

What’s in it for you?

  • Fixed-term Contract.
  • Hybrid work structure with designated in-office “pillar” days.
  • Annual Wellness & Health Budget.
  • Flexibility to work from any Lightspeed office.
  • Opportunity to work abroad through our remote work program.
  • Ability to do your job in a truly flexible environment.
  • Work in a team big enough for growth but lean enough to make a real impact.
