We want to further connect hyper-locally with our hospitality customers and prospects in key cities in The UK, and ensure Lightspeed is top of mind when they think of their tech partner. That’s where you come in: you’ll be the ultimate connector, part event planner, part content creator, and part relationship manager, owning the local vibe and growth strategy from the ground up!
What you'll do:
- Launch the Anchor Mission: Map out and enlist our most respected existing customers: your local legends! You’ll use them as the anchors to host killer events, attracting new prospects and key local industry influencers (like top chefs, consultants, and power players).
- Network Ninja: Identify and forge strong relationships with all the right external stakeholders: key prospects, influencers, and local entities (think trade associations) to build an unbeatable local network.
- Throw "Scrappy but Cool" Events: Ideate, run and measure the impact of high-vibe local gatherings, from quick morning breakfasts and working lunches to exclusive late-night networking, hosted right at customer sites to build a real community.
- Boots-on-the-Ground Content Producer: Forget the studio. Grab your phone and capture "raw and real" customer stories working in close collaboration with our social team. You’ll be the one capturing the unique moment that will be turned into viral video snippets for social media and compelling case studies for our sales decks.
- Fuel the Sales Fire: Keep local Field sales materials absolutely fresh and armed with the latest data and compelling stories you gather from your cities.
- Internal Collaborator: You won’t fly solo! You'll partner closely with Regional Integrated Marketing Managers (for overall strategy), Regional Field Sales teams (turn your work into revenue), Account Managers (expand your footprint among existing customers), Product Marketing (increase awareness of our products), Social Media Specialists and Content (for creative and tool inputs) and Partnership Marketing (for fun local brand collabs).
How you'll track your success:
- This is where the magic becomes measurable. You will be held accountable for making your offline work translate into online growth.
- The Link-Up: You'll ensure clear pipeline attribution, being able to directly link every local event or influencer campaign you run to sales metrics.
- Setting the Vibe: Partner with IMMs to set targets for both awareness (how loud is the vibe online?), attendance, number of events to deliver, and with Local Field Managers to set consideration targets (how many leads and demos are we driving?) for your specific cities.
- Data Storyteller: Create simple, powerful, data-backed monthly reports that tell the story of a marketing activity leading directly to brand engagement and sales wins.
- Future-Proof Analytics: Use tools to quickly analyze event feedback, gauge sentiment from social comments, or pull insights from CRM data and Looker to see which city-specific tactics are actually moving the needle.
What it takes to succeed:
- Hospitality DNA: You're a natural in the hospitality world, with experience and contacts to prove it.
- Scrappy Creator: You're a one-person content studio! You can film, edit, and write good-quality content solo using basic tools, Canva, Apple Suite (iMovie) or Google Suite, and you use AI to supercharge your workflow.
- Your Office is the Streets: You love being out of the office and "in the streets" of your assigned cities to make sure you connect with our audience.
- Strategic & Independent: You’re a self-starter. You don’t wait for a script; you see a golden opportunity, and you run with it.
- Sales-Minded Hustler: You instinctively understand the sales cycle and know exactly how to track the impact of your amazing offline work on tangible online growth.
- Event Diva: You know how to run the show and bring a strong experience in events, ideally in hospitality.
Nice to have:
- CRM Wizard: Experienced in tracking campaign influence within tools like Salesforce, Looker, and Hootsuite.
- UTM Master: Deep understanding of trackable links (UTMs for influencer content) and QR codes for event tracking.
When applying, please include some links (i.e. social media posts) of hospitality events (i.e. pub quizzes, happy hours…) you’ve led with a short explanation.
