As a Geospatial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting business stakeholders by providing geospatial analysis, spatial data management, and visualization of spatial content. This includes carrying out analysis for site feasibility, permitting, development and construction of renewable projects, and maintaining underlying database content and mapping to support this. You will primarily work with a specific focus on supporting geospatial activities in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Geospatial Analysis & Reporting
    • Conduct spatial analysis to support business decisions, including site selection, environmental assessments, engineering, operations and risk management.
    • Develop reports, maps, and visual presentations of geospatial data to communicate insights effectively to various stakeholders.
    • Provide recommendations based on geospatial findings to drive operational improvements.
    • Maintain web‐based geospatial content.
  • Data Management & Integration
    • Manage, clean, and update geospatial data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
    • Integrate diverse geospatial datasets from various sources, including satellite imagery, survey data, remote sensing, and more.
    • Manage database content, ensuring data is organised, secure, and readily accessible for analysis.
    • Maintain workflows for automation of data management and define related procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with data standards and metadata management protocols.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Support
    • Provide technical support to users, ensuring they can effectively utilise GIS systems and tools.

Who we're looking for

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in geospatial analysis, GIS, or a related field.
  • Experience in GIS, remote sensing, data analysis, and geospatial modelling.
  • Experience in geospatial data management and implementing associated standards and governance.
  • Experience in map visualisation for various applications.
  • Experience working with various Geospatial data formats.
  • Use of ArcGIS Pro, ArcSDE, Portal for ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of applying coordinate reference systems and transformations.
  • Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Education and Qualifications

  • Master's or advanced degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Personal/Work Skills

  • Communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a high‐paced environment.
  • Must be detail‐oriented and have strong data organization and analytical skills.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, with a commitment to keeping projects on time.
  • Must be proactive in seeking to improve data insights, automate and simplify workflows and processes.
