Through combining iconic performances, rarely‑seen interviews and never‑before‑exhibited material, the show celebrates Bowie’s creative mind, spirit and soul – resulting in both a multimedia spectacle and an intimate and revealing self‑portrait. Lightroom’s flagship venue is based in London King’s Cross, situated next to Coal Drop’s Yard. Our shows have also played in 11 cities worldwide. Outside of London, Lightroom’s shows have played in France, Germany, Amsterdam, South Korea, China, Singapore and the United States.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Lightroom is seeking an experienced and highly organised Distribution Producer to manage the adaptation of our immersive shows for international markets. This pivotal role ensures seamless communication between Lightroom, its production partners (e.g. 59 Studio), local licensees & venues, and IP stakeholders as appropriate. With responsibility for creative and technical deployment across multiple sites, the Distribution Producer ensures each show is delivered to Lightroom’s high standards on time, on budget, and in full compliance with IP and licensing requirements. Work will be project‑based, and require regular travel to partner venues to supervise on‑site installation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage schedules for international delivery, overseeing multiple workstreams, escalating risks and resolving blockers quickly.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for licensees and suppliers on day‑to‑day delivery matters, providing context and priorities to enable seamless delivery.
  • Successfully navigate cross‑functional and cross‑cultural relationships, balancing competing priorities to achieve project objectives.
  • Work to continuously improve distribution processes and systems.

Resource Management

  • Create, manage, and reconcile budgets for adaptation and installation.
  • Monitor spend against agreed budgets and maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Book, brief and coordinate external freelancers and specialist suppliers, including translators, voice artists, sound designers and technical support.
  • Oversee the creation, quality control and delivery of show assets, including video adaptations, translation, subtitles, dubbing and voice‑over materials.
  • Coordinate sound design and the integration of localised audio tracks.
  • Manage delivery of ancillary and interpretive content, ensuring consistency of the Lightroom brand and visitor experience across territories.
  • Manage delivery of the merchandise offer (including new lines as required) coordinating with the licensee, Intellectual Property holders, central retail team, and production companies.
  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing assets for promotional use.
  • Serve as the conduit between licensees, central Lightroom teams, suppliers and IP holders to secure feedback and approvals on all project materials.
  • Ensure all project assets and content comply with licensing agreements, IP‑holder requirements and brand guidelines.

Site Logistics

  • Plan and coordinate technical trips, site visits, and installations, providing pastoral care for the travelling team.
  • Attend key site visits and technical trips to supervise installation, maintain quality control, gather notes and resolve issues on the ground.
  • Ensure the intended creative presentation and Lightroom ‘look and feel’ is preserved during installation at partner venues.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • 2-3 years of experience in a producing or project management role, ideally within touring exhibitions, theatre, film, or immersive experiences.
  • Proven ability to track and monitor spend against budgets (c.£100k) and collate and drive schedules.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to prioritise across multiple workstreams and global time zones.
  • Experience coordinating approval pipelines, for example IP approval of show or marketing assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with high‑profile partners and creative teams, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • High level of proficiency with project tracking systems (e.g. Smartsheet, Airtable), and strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Excel.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work across timezones, travel internationally, and occasional weekend work as required (e.g. for on‑site delivery).
