As the Operations Director for our UK site, you are the strategic and operational lead for all day-to-day activities and long-term planning across our London office. Acting as a key local leader and partner to HQ, you are responsible for enabling business growth, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and building a thriving, high-performing environment for our UK-based teams.
You’ll manage one Operations Specialist and oversee all local G&A functions (HR, Finance, Operations, IT & Recruitment) and work closely with senior leadership to ensure the London office runs smoothly, aligns with global goals, and provides an outstanding employee experience to our people.
What you will be doing:
- Lead daily operations and long-term strategic planning for the UK office.
- Deliver employee experience related events and initiatives that align with our global culture and philosophy and serve the needs of local team members (e.g. summer parties, happy hours, wellness weeks).
- Represent the London site in global decision-making and ensure HQ messaging is localized and well-communicated.
- Own site-wide programmes, including office expansion, vendor relationships, and compliance.
- Lead and evolve UK-specific processes and systems to support growth and operational excellence.
- Partner with global HR and local leadership to support retention and engagement initiatives.
- Manage the UK site budget in partnership with global Finance.
Your Skills And Experience:
- 6+ years in operations management, site leadership, or general management roles with a strong background in Health & Safety compliance and project management.
- Direct experience managing budgets for a site or business unit.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with or influencing senior leaders and C-suite.
- Ability to translate global goals into local action, and local insight into global decisions.
- Confident working across time zones, cultures, and with matrixed teams.
- Track record of leading complex, high-stakes projects (e.g. large office moves, org changes, process overhauls).
- Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills — especially under ambiguity.
- Deep understanding of employee experience and team dynamics.
- Willingness to act as Health & Safety officer for the UK site, training will be provided.
- Experience working in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Exposure to global HQ/local site dynamics.
