Lightricity is seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to lead the manufacturing and process optimisation of our high-efficiency space products.
The successful candidate should enjoy hands-on activities and have a relevant degree in engineering.
Experience working with space-grade components or systems (e. g.
Cubesats) is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and coordinating the production processes required to manufacture space-grade devices and assemblies.
- Bridging the gap between R&D and manufacturing, ensuring our products meet rigorous space standards
- Manufacturing process optimisation; implement process improvements to increase yield, throughput, and cost-efficiency.
- Quality assurance and compliance

- Experience working in laboratories and/or workshops
- Ability to work under own initiative and to manage workload appropriately to meet tight deadlines
- Practical soldering/welding experience for space manufacturing
- Knowledge of space industry processes and standards

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Space, Materials Science) or a related discipline
- Experience with solar cells (incl. compound semiconductors) and/or modules
