Our client is an Accountancy Practice based in West Ipswich who are actively seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their small team. Offering a supportive environment, this is a great opportunity for someone to join a close-knit team.
£25k Basic Salary (pro-rata) | 15-20 hours per week across Mon-Fri (to be agreed but must include Fridays) | West Ipswich | Accountancy Practice | Accurate / Courteous / Customer Friendly
The purpose of this role is to provide general administrative support to the team, also carrying out receptionist duties in a friendly, welcoming manner.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Answering calls, dealing with client queries and forwarding onto relevant team member
- Updating company files and systems with client information
- Responding to company emails proactively
- Communicating in a courteous, professional, and reassuring manner with clients, suppliers and members of the public
- Sending out / posting letters, also managing incoming post
- Ordering stationary and equipment for the office
- Onboarding new clients
- Responding to new client enquiries and arranging a meeting
- Filing and scanning
- There may also be the opportunity to do some bookkeeping or managing the company social media page (for the right individual)
Person Specification:
- 3 years administrative experience or more essential
- Knowledge of accounting would be advantageous
- The ability to work accurately and achieve deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team player and build rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn and embrace new systems and new technologies
- Initiative and good problem-solving skills
- Driving licence preferred due to location (dedicated car parking space available)
