We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead and Registered Manager to provide senior clinical leadership and day-to-day oversight of our ADHD & Neurodiversity services. This is a key clinical leadership and regulatory role, combining ADHD prescribing expertise, pathway governance, medication safety, diagnostic quality assurance and CQC Registered Manager responsibilities.
The postholder will oversee the full clinical Adults & Children's ADHD & Autism pathways, including referral, triage, assessment, diagnosis, medication initiation, titration, monitoring, shared care and discharge. They will ensure that care is safe, consistent, evidence-based, well-documented and aligned with NICE NG87, CQC expectations and relevant professional standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing senior clinical leadership across adult and children’s ADHD and autism pathways
- Acting as CQC Registered Manager and ensuring the service remains safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led
- Leading ADHD prescribing, titration oversight, medication safety and controlled drug governance
- Supporting diagnostic governance, report quality assurance and clinical documentation standards
- Managing clinical risk, incidents, complaints, audits, safeguarding escalations and learning reviews
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting nurse prescribers, titration nurses, assessors and other clinicians
- Developing and refining SOPs, protocols, templates, clinical flow maps and patient-facing processes
- Supporting mobilisation, service development and digital-first clinical workflows in a start-up environment
- Working closely with operations, compliance, safeguarding, IT and senior leadership teams
Essential requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification, RMN or RGN, with relevant mental health or neurodevelopmental experience
- Active NMC registration
- V300 Independent Prescriber qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ ADHD prescribing experience
- Strong experience in ADHD medication reviews, titration and monitoring
- Good understanding of ADHD and autism assessment/treatment pathways
- Strong understanding of NICE guidance, CQC expectations, safeguarding, consent, capacity and clinical governance
- Experience supervising clinicians and supporting audit, risk, incident or complaints processes
- Confidence working with EHR systems, clinical documentation and digital care pathways
- Ability to work in a fast-moving start-up environment and build safe, scalable clinical systems
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager, Deputy Registered Manager, Registered Manager Designate or Clinical Governance Lead would be highly valued, as would experience in private ADHD/neurodevelopmental services, controlled drug governance, NHS Right to Choose pathways, commissioner work, or service mobilisation.
