Overview
As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents' clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and organisation are essential.
Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, iron and return items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, and ensure all processes are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures to provide a consistent and reliable service that contributes to a well-organised and comfortable environment.
- Work as part of a supportive team and on alternate weekends as required.
Qualifications / Skills
- Positive and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial
- Previous experience is welcome but not essential
