About the Company
Alfanar Energy UK & our subsidiary Lighthouse Green Fuels are developing the largest Advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Europe, utilising first-of-it's-kind technology and attracting a £1.5billion investment package. It's a very exciting time to be joining us as our project gathers pace and the UK Government puts legislation in place to mandate SAF usage.

We're currently seeking an experienced individual to join us on a staff basis in London as a Senior Environmental Engineer. This key role will work directly with the Project Development Manager to support the delivery of the DCO from scoping through pre-application, examination to SoS decision and further. It will also have responsibility for supporting the engineering team on environmental issues.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Environmental consultants to develop Environmental documentation
- Coordinating with internal and external technical specialist environmental teams to provide sufficient evidence, draft and review DCO documents to support the project.
- Ensure environmental compliance as part of the application process.
- Maintain oversight of agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the Development Consent Order (DCO), and collaborated with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.
- Support the Land Strategy Team in the Land Acquisition process.
- Review Engineering Contractor/Supplier documentation
- Interface between engineering Disciplines and DCO Consultants
- Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with contractors and internal team.
- Maintain and update the risk register, DCO consent register and other required trackers.
- Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants
Who we're seeking:
- 8-10 years+ experience, including experience on complex, large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
- Experience with development of EIA documentation
- Some knowledge of the DCO process for complex energy projects
- Knowledge of environmental elements of DCO process
- Strong communication & stakeholder engagement skillset
