Lighthouse Green Fuels is part of Alfanar Energy UK, and we are developing the largest Advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Europe, utilising first-of-it\’s-kind technology and attracting a £1.5billion investment package. Our Teesside site currently contains a CCGT power plant we are returning to service, and this role will initially work on this power plant as it will be becoming operational in the near future.

We\’re seeking a Shift Operations Technician – Outside to join us at our site in Teesside. This role will ensure safe and efficient operation of all activities on site including a gas fired turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and a Steam Turbine Generator, together with associated auxiliary plant – including first-line fault diagnosis and basic maintenance. This is a shift role on 12 hour shifts – Days and Nights.
Responsibilities
- Outside Operations of the plant, under supervision of the Shift Manager
- Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments/ operations
- Updating Shift Logs to ensure effective communication
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit,
- Maintaining high standards for EHS
- Carry out risk assessments
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance Activities for the Operations Team
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Operate mobile plant including forklift trucks as required
- Compliance with Safety Audit requirements
- Monitor stocks and take receipt of consumables
- Self -initiative development within the Operations department
- Develop development plan through discussion with Shift Manager.
- Coach and develop own Operators members ensuring their skills and expertise are fully deployed
- Monitoring of plant equipment and ensuring preventive/ corrective maintenance implementation
- Ensure implementation of regular PMs as per schedule during respective shifts
- Ability to carry out/monitor all outside activity relating to safe plant Operations.
