Lighthouse Green Fuels is part of Alfanar Energy UK, and we are developing the largest Advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Europe, utilising first-of-it\’s-kind technology and attracting a £1.5billion investment package. Our Teesside site currently contains a power plant we are returning to service, and this role will work on this power plant as it will be becoming operational in the near future.

We\’re seeking a Maintenance Technician with a Mechanical focus to join us on a staff basis at our site in Teesside. The day to day role will be completing planned maintenance and compliance checks on all assets site wide and will be responsible for dealing with breakdowns and project work in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance Activities for the maintenance Team as identified within routines and input data onto maintenance management system.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Develop Maintenance plan through discussion with Maintenance Supervisor and initiate periodic OEM maintenance plans.
- Reporting any issues and concerns through Direct Line Manager
- Monitoring of plant equipment and ensuring preventive/ corrective maintenance implementation as per Maintenance schedule
- Ensure implementation of regular PMs as per schedule during respective shifts
Who we\’re seeking
- 3+ Years of Experience
- Formal Mechanical maintenance background
- Experienced with Power plant and ancillary equipment.
- Extensive Industrial Plant / Process Industry Maintenance
- Heavy engineering / heavy manufacturing plant e.g. chemical plant, brewery, paper mill, manufacturing plant, power generating plant CHP, recycling plant, foundry, etc.
- Experienced with basic mechanical equipment e.g. pumps, valves, gearboxes, heat exchangers, steam systems.
- Experience working with steam and gas turbines desirable
- Boiler / steam experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- Working with maintenance systems (CMMS) such SAP, MAXIMO
- Proven fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Formal Electrical / Mechanical / Instrument apprenticeship/training.
- Understand / Qualifications in SHE and Plant Engineering regulations (IOSH / NEBOSH / CoMAH).
