Alfanar Energy UK, via our subsidiary Lighthouse Green Fuels, are developing the largest Advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Europe, utilising first-of-its-kind technology and attracting a ~£2 billion investment package. It’s a very exciting time to be joining us as our project gathers pace and the UK Government puts legislation in place to mandate SAF usage.
We’re currently seeking an experienced individual to come on board in London as Investment Manager. This is a key role for the company, and will have responsibility for all activities for meeting the funding requirement for the project. Working with the group CIO and CFO, they will liaise with banks, financial institutions, PE funds, rating agencies and other stakeholders in the financial community to ensure timely availability of financing for the project at the most competitive terms.
Responsibilities:
- Review financial models of Alfanar projects before submission to prospective lenders.
- Prepare comprehensive financial models for various projects to deliver cash flow forecast, scenario analysis, risk assessment and return analysis.
- Work closely with the project development team to identify, analyse and execute the most optimum financing solution for Alfanar Energy projects (including debt and equity).
- Coordinate with finance providers on due diligence, term sheet negotiations and documentation.
- Coordinate the drawdown/repayment formalities for debt facilities and monitor compliance with financing conditions and obligations.
- Responsible for identifying and finalising Lenders for raising finance in the form of Senior Debt, Subordinate Debt, Mezzanine Finance, Green Bonds, ECA backed financing etc.
- Review and advise based on the reports received from Tax Advisor and Finance Advisor to structure the transaction; participate in meetings and calls with outside legal counsel, tax experts, accounting firms to understand regulations and tax treatments.
Who we’re seeking:
- 10+ years’ of professional experience in complex infrastructure project finance, gained primarily within a corporate house focused on project development/financing, with substantial experience in Energy from Waste and Renewables in the UK.
- Experience working with UKEF, UKIB and European Export Banks.
- Cumulative funds raised worth more than USD $800m and fund raised for a single transaction more than USD $250m.
- Equity raising experience in the Renewable Energy Industry in Europe.
- Extensive experience in detailed financial modelling for project financing.
- Sound knowledge on various instruments like senior loan, EBL, Equity, Convertible and Non-convertible Instruments, Shareholder Loans.
- Relevant knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
