As a VFX Artist, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for creating visually stunning effects that enhance the overall gaming experience. You will work closely with other artists, designers, and programmers to develop and implement VFX that not only look great but also fit seamlessly into the game environment. Your artistic sensibility combined with technical proficiency will be key as you contribute to the game's visual storytelling.

Key Duties Include:
  • Create and implement high‑quality visual effects (VFX) for characters, environments, and gameplay elements.
  • Collaborate with the art team to develop innovative solutions for VFX problems and ensure consistency across all visual elements.
  • Optimise VFX assets for performance and memory usage while maintaining high visual fidelity.
  • Utilise industry‑standard tools and software to produce stunning effects that align with the game's art style.
  • Participate in team meetings, critiques, and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and feedback.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in VFX technology to continuously improve skills and contribute to the team's development.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a VFX artist in the game industry, with a portfolio showcasing your work (Ideally real‑world effects, rain, fog, smoke, dust clouds, fire etc.)
  • Proficient in industry‑standard VFX tools and software such as Maya, Houdini, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of VFX principles, including timing, motion, and visual aesthetics.
  • Experience with real‑time engines like Unreal Engine, particularly in integrating VFX into games.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and improving craft.
Desirable:
  • Experience with procedural techniques for VFX production.
  • Familiarity with shader authoring for VFX, either HLSL or Node‑based in Unreal Engine.
  • Knowledge of particle systems and their effective use in gameplay.
