As a Lead Gameplay Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the development of innovative gameplay systems for our upcoming project. You will work directly with our world-class design team to create engaging gameplay, using your passion and drive to push for higher quality at every opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the gameplay engineering team in designing and implementing cutting-edge gameplay systems
- Collaborate with the design team to create engaging and immersive gameplay experiences
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their growth and development
- Assume ownership of key gameplay features and systems, ensuring their quality and performance
- Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks in the development process
- Contribute to the overall technical vision and roadmap of the studio
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in gameplay engineering
- Extensive experience as a Gameplay Engineer on multiple shipped AAA titles
- Strong proficiency in C++ and relevant gameplay scripting languages
- Solid understanding of game development principles, including game physics, animation, and AI
- Proven track record of leadership and team management
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Passion for creating innovative and immersive gameplay experiences
