About LightHearted AI

LightHearted AI is a Forbes recognized precision cardiology company on a mission to prevent 10 million heart-related deaths by 2030. Our novel technology, LightScope, is a laser-based device that quantifies blood flow at 16x the sign-to-noise than any existing technology to detect cardiovascular conditions in just 10 seconds by shining light on the neck, no expert required. We’ve completed multiple clinical studies validating the technology and are collaborating with the American Heart Association, NHS, and major healthcare systems in Europe & US. We are a VC-backed startup with offices in London, New York, and Bengaluru.

Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled, analytical, and entrepreneurial individual with a systems-level perspective on both public and private healthcare. You’ll be hands-on in a small, ambitious team, helping to drive clinical trials, real-world pilots, grants bids and funding strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch & Scale Pilots: Lead real-world clinical pilots of LightScope from zero -> live, managing sites, timelines, onboarding, and execution.
  • Own Deployments: Be responsible for getting LightScope working reliably across clinical and community settings - fixing problems, not escalating them.
  • Feature Development: Work closely with engineering and ML teams to define, test, and refine new features based on real-world usage of LightScope.
  • Hardware Improvement: Identify issues with device performance, usability, and reliability in the field, and collaborate with the team to drive iterative hardware improvements.
  • Workflow Optimisation: Continuously refine how LightScope fits into clinical workflows, reducing friction for users and improving speed, usability, and adoption.
  • Close the Product Loop: Turn real-world usage into clear insights and work directly with product/ML teams to drive fast, meaningful improvements.
  • Build Scalable Systems: Design workflows, processes, and data pipelines that allow LightScope to scale across multiple sites and geographies.
  • Be the Frontline: Work closely with clinicians, operators, and partners, becoming the trusted person they rely on to make things happen.
  • Drive Early Growth: Help expand into new sites and markets, spotting opportunities and supporting partnerships and deployments.
  • Do What It Takes: Travel to sites, solve problems on the ground, and take ownership of anything needed to make pilots successful.

Requirements

  • Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Early Experience: 2-4 years of experience in startups, healthcare, operations, or hands-on project work.
  • Execution Mindset: Proven ability to get things done in messy, real-world environments - not just plan or coordinate.
  • Healthcare Exposure: Some experience working with clinical environments, healthcare systems, or patient-facing settings is a strong plus.
  • Problem Solver: Comfortable troubleshooting issues independently, taking ownership, and figuring things out without constant guidance.
  • Communication: Clear and concise communicator, able to work directly with clinicians, engineers, and partners.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, unstructured environments and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • Motivation: Strong interest in building a career in MedTech and working on real-world healthcare problems.

Time requirement: Full-Time
