Our multi-award winning Lender Finance Team is a busy, fast paced practice and due to our continued success we require a Paralegal to support the fee earners specialising in residential conveyancing or commercial property transactions. They advise mainly lender clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process, including bridging loans, buy-to-let, commercial and development, legal issues, finances and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and draft routine legal documents;
  • Create and maintain case files;
  • Conduct legal research;
  • Registering applications on Companies House;
  • Dealing with enquiries from Companies House and Land Registry, as necessary;
  • Issuing security documentation;
  • Handling completion monies;
  • Preparing invoices and ensuring all fees are accounted for prior to completion;
  • Reporting on title upon completion;
  • Dealing with post-completion work, such as redemptions, consent to lease, s106 approval and so forth; and
  • Generally assisting fee earners with their files.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a legal secretary, assistant or paralegal
  • Preferable 1-2 years' experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of legal finance practice is a plus
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are needed
  • Ability to be proactive and handle a busy workload
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and work to tight deadlines
