We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team in Thame. The role will be supporting the whole team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department within a law firm.
The Finance Team consists of Legal Cashiers & Legal Finance Assistants who work with and report to the Head Cashier & Finance Team Manager. The team work together to support each other in a fast paced, busy environment providing the firm with a stable accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacting the bank with queries and cheque cancellations
- Entry level office administration
- Issuing cheques
- Processing banking transactions
- Processing of bills
- Reconciliations of our daily processes
- This role will build on the above to incorporate further duties as experience and learning increases
What Weβre Looking For
- At least 2 years office/administrative experience is essential
- Accounts experience is desirable
- At least 5 GCSEβs with Grade C (or 4) and above and minimum of B (or 6) in Maths
- A high level of accuracy & attention to detail
- Methodical approach to work
- Excellent communication face to face and telephone
- Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines or will learn this during your development in the role
- Committed team-worker
This is a full-time permanent position in one of our Thame offices, Monday to Friday, 9am β 5.30pm with added cover sometimes required from 8:30am.
