We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Accounts team in Thame. The role involves supporting the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department within a law firm. The Finance Team comprises Legal Cashiers and Legal Finance Assistants, reporting to the Head Cashier & Finance Team Manager. The team collaborates in a fast-paced, busy environment to support the firm's accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact banks with queries and cheque cancellations
- Perform entry-level office administration
- Issue cheques
- Process banking transactions
- Process bills
- This role will develop to include additional duties as experience increases
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years of office/administrative experience
- Experience in accounts is desirable
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs with Grade C (or 4) and above, including B (or 6) in Maths
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Methodical work approach
- Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
- Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines, with development during the role
