ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Lender Finance Team is a very successful and fast paced practice. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and direction for the team. They will promote a positive, high performance working environment alongside providing an excellent service for our Lender Clients. This role will be accountable to the Partner, however, will have autonomy in managing operations and delivery including people management and resource planning. This is a leadership role requiring excellent industry knowledge, strong stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence. This role requires strong operational management experience in a legal or regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for leading the Lender Finance Team including day to day management of the management team and Lender Heads, ensuring efficiency and adherence to service level agreements.
- Monitoring department financial targets and reporting to the senior partner / Lender Finance Partner on performance of department.
- Implement and refine processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Ensure effective workload distribution and resource planning across the team.
- Monitor performance indicators and service levels for improvements.
- Work with the Partner to identify opportunities for the department.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the department and act as a role model firmwide.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a legal environment - either a qualified solicitor with proven ability to lead a large team or candidates can be non-qualified yet with experience of leading a high performing team in a regulated environment.
- Ability to act as a role model showcasing excellent behaviours to drive a high-performance culture.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to lead on change, act independently and provide strong guidance at all levels.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to achieving goals.
- Proactive with commercial and financial awareness.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethos.
