Company Description: LighterHR is an established and growing HR Consultancy. We provide support to all size clients, from start-ups to multi-nationals in a very broad range of industry sectors. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients and working with them on both day-to-day operational HR activities and more strategic HR initiatives.
About the role: The role of HR Executive at LighterHR is pivotal in providing service to our clients. You'll be responsible for supporting recruitment activity, onboarding employees and processing leavers. You'll get to further your knowledge of HR documentation including contracts and policies, different HR systems and, through the support you'll give to our HR consultants, you'll gain exposure to complex employee relations issues. The role offers plenty of opportunity for growth but does require some previous HR experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Processing requests for changes to employment terms.
- Updating HR systems.
- Managing leavers processes to acknowledge receipt of resignation, calculate outstanding holiday and ensure payroll is updated.
- Supporting with monthly payroll processes.
- Review of policies, procedures and handbooks.
- Running of regular reports for holiday, sickness and right to work.
- Supporting the HR Consultants with ER cases and any other tasks as required.
Remember - we're an HR consultancy so the above is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities as lots of our clients work in slightly different ways and have different requirements.
About you:
To succeed in this role you need:
- Previous HR experience - it doesn't need to be extensive but you do need to be familiar with employment law and have some practical experience of managing joiner and leaver processes.
- Lots of common sense.
- An ability to follow processes but also to be able to adapt those processes to deal with specific situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail (you'll be issuing documents that enter our clients into legally binding contracts so they need to be correct).
- You need to really care about delivering great service to our clients.
What we offer:
The role will be based in London. We operate a hybrid working model however, this is not contractual as we need to put the requirements of our clients first and we need to be available to attend client site as needed. We use the first three months of employment to train you and familiarise you with our ways of working and the specific requirements of our clients. During that time we ask you to be in the office for 5 days each week. After this time, we aim for a work pattern of two days from home and three days in the office, subject to client needs.
25 holidays per year plus 2 volunteering days. An opportunity to learn through doing! The type of work we do is challenging and you'll get a great deal of exposure to complex cases from early on in your career. This role requires an immediate start.
If you're looking for your next HR role and an opportunity to broaden your experience and the above sounds like you, please apply by submitting your full CV. For the avoidance of doubt, we are the employer (not a recruitment agency).
