Now, we’re looking for a passionate and sharp Editorial Assistant / Writer to help us tell those stories.
Tasks
As Editorial Assistant / Content Writer, you’ll:
- Write articles, interviews, and features focused on engineering, aerospace, innovation, and infrastructure
- Research and fact-check technical subjects with accuracy and clarity
- Help manage editorial calendars, source stories, and prepare content for publication
- Assist with newsletter production and social media posts
- Work closely with the founder and editorial team to refine Lightbulb’s voice and reach
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Excellent written English and strong storytelling ability
- Proven interest in science, technology, engineering, or innovation journalism
- Ability to research and translate complex technical topics for a wider audience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Enthusiasm for building something bold and fresh
Nice to Have:
- Experience writing for a publication, blog, newsletter, or university paper
- Degree (or working towards one) in Journalism, English, STEM, or related fields
- Basic knowledge of tools like Notion, Figma, Substack, or WordPress
