Our customers automate accounting, reporting, AP, AR and bookkeeping in one intelligent platform—helping finance teams move faster and work smarter. Backed by world-class investors, we're growing quickly and already power finance operations for companies like Lovable, Legora and Keyshot. This is an opportunity to join early and help build the future of finance.

The Role

As an Implementation Manager, you'll own customer implementations from contract signature through to go-live for the DACH region. Working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors and Controllers, you'll design solutions, lead implementations and ensure every customer is set up for success. No two projects are the same. You'll solve complex finance challenges, work closely with Product and Engineering, and have real influence over both the customer experience and the evolution of our platform.

What you'll do

  • Lead multiple implementations from kickoff to go-live.
  • Partner with senior finance leaders throughout delivery.
  • Configure Light around each customer's finance processes.
  • Manage data migration, timelines and project delivery.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and Customer Success.
  • Help shape how we deliver implementations as we continue to scale.

About you

You'll likely have experience implementing ERP or finance software within consulting or SaaS. We're looking for someone who:

  • Has delivered complex software implementations end-to-end.
  • Proficient in German.
  • Builds credibility with senior finance stakeholders.
  • Enjoys solving challenging problems and taking ownership.
  • Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Uses AI to work smarter and deliver exceptional results.
  • Experience with platforms like NetSuite, Sage Intacct or Workday Financials is a bonus, but not essential.

Why Light?

You'll join an ambitious, high-performing team that's building category-defining software. In return, you'll get:

  • Competitive salary and potential stock options.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • Regular international off-sites.
  • Huge opportunities to grow as we scale.

If you're excited by ownership, solving complex customer challenges and helping redefine finance software, we'd love to hear from you.

How to prepare for a job interview at Light

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Light uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
