Backed by world‑class investors and advised by industry titans, we’re building category‑defining products with the freedom to ship ambitiously and own outcomes. Come help us make Light the global default for next‑gen finance.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Financial Implementation Project Manager to own the end‑to‑end onboarding of our enterprise customers onto the Light platform. This is a hands‑on role. You will be embedded in our largest, most complex accounts—not overseeing from a distance, but actively driving the work on the ground. You will be the person enterprise clients look to from the moment they sign, responsible for getting them from contract to confident go‑live. You own the delivery, the plan, and the outcome.

You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with our Implementation Managers—who bring the deep finance and systems expertise—while you own the delivery framework and keep everything moving on time and on scope. On big accounts, you’ll be in the detail: running sessions, resolving blockers, managing dependencies, and making sure nothing stalls.

You are a project manager first. You thrive on structure, make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and know how to manage complexity across multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously. You don’t need to be an accountant, but you need to understand enough about how finance teams work to hold a credible conversation with a CFO and know when a technical dependency is about to blow your timeline.

This role is ideal for someone coming from SaaS implementation, enterprise software delivery, or a PMO background who has worked in or around finance or fintech environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery Ownership
    • Build and own detailed project plans across implementation workstreams
    • Define milestones, owners, and dependencies from kickoff through go‑live
    • Track progress rigorously and proactively manage slippage before it becomes a problem
    • Maintain a live risk and issue log with clear mitigation plans
  • Stakeholder Governance
    • Run weekly project governance calls with client and internal teams
    • Prepare and deliver executive status updates to senior stakeholders
    • Keep all parties aligned on scope, timeline, and decisions required
    • Escalate clearly and quickly when things need senior attention
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination
    • Coordinate across Implementation, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success
    • Translate workstream dependencies into structured delivery plans
    • Make sure internal teams have what they need to unblock client progress
    • Own the handover process from implementation to ongoing Customer Success
  • Process & Playbook Development
    • Document implementation processes and contribute to a scalable delivery playbook
    • Identify patterns across projects and propose improvements to how we run implementations
    • Support onboarding of new team members into the delivery framework

Candidate Profile

Required:

  • 3+ years in project or programme management, owning end‑to‑end delivery of complex software implementations
  • Formal PM credentials or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working on or alongside finance, fintech, or ERP implementation projects
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP migration projects—familiarity with platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Workday is expected
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior client‑side engagement
  • Highly organised with a track record of delivering on time in fast‑moving environments
  • Comfortable working closely with technical teams without needing to be deeply technical yourself

Strong Plus:

  • Experience at a SaaS or fintech company in a delivery or implementation role
  • Exposure to multinational or multi‑entity finance environments
  • Experience working in a scaled agile or hybrid delivery environment
  • Practical use of AI or productivity tools to improve delivery efficiency

What Success Looks Like

  • Every implementation runs to a clear, well‑managed plan
  • Customers reach go‑live on time and with confidence
  • Risks are surfaced and resolved before they become issues
  • A repeatable, well‑documented delivery framework that scales as the team grows

Why This Role

  • Own the delivery of some of the most complex financial migrations happening in modern SaaS
  • Work alongside deep finance and product experts—you’ll learn a lot
  • High visibility in an early‑stage company where your work directly shapes how we scale
  • Real opportunity to build and own the delivery function as the team grows

The Good Stuff

  • A competitive salary + potential stock options
  • Generous package of paid annual leave + public holidays in the country where you are based
  • Regular socials and company off‑sites (last time was Southern France and next time is in October)
  • A huge opportunity for career growth as you’ll help shape a market‑defining product
