We’re building a modern, resilient operation that supports Light & Wonder’s global gaming hardware portfolio, from new product launches to sustained, high‑volume production and repair. As Operations Manager you’ll play a pivotal, hands‑on role in shaping how inventory, repair and warehouse operations drive the business, helping define how we plan, execute, and scale now and in the future.

This role offers genuine ownership. You’ll operate at the core of our operations driving strategy, improving critical planning systems and processes, and leading performance‑critical initiatives around service, inventory accuracy, and cost. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, IT, purchasing and logistics teams, you’ll lead in an agile, data‑driven environment where your decisions have visible, business‑wide impact.

What You'll Do

  • Leading End-to-End Operations
    • Lead day-to-day operational activities across warehousing, inventory management, workshop repairs/assembly, and transport functions.
    • Ensure resources, people, equipment and processes are aligned to deliver safety, quality, service and cost objectives.
    • Oversee repair schedules to ensure customer commitments and business requirements are achieved.
    • Support new product introductions, engineering changes and operational readiness activities.
  • Driving Warehouse, Inventory & Materials Performance
    • Own end-to-end materials, inventory and warehouse operations supporting manufacturing, repair and distribution activities.
    • Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through robust stock control, cycle counting and process discipline.
    • Develop inventory strategies that optimise service levels, working capital and operational efficiency.
    • Monitor and improve material flow from receipt through storage, production, repair and despatch.
  • Managing Repair Operations
    • Lead workshop repair and refurbishment activities to ensure quality, throughput and customer service targets are achieved.
    • Oversee value-added operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
    • Drive improvements in productivity, capacity utilisation and operational performance.
    • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product and process issues.
  • Leading Transport & Distribution
    • Manage the in-house transport operation and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance.
    • Ensure compliance with transport, export and regulatory requirements.
    • Continuously review transport costs, service levels and supplier performance.
  • Championing Operational Excellence
    • Lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing, repair and logistics operations.
    • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.
    • Drive standardisation, visual management, root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
    • Establish clear KPIs and accountability frameworks to support operational performance.
  • Leveraging Data, Automation & AI
    • Use operational data to monitor performance, identify trends and drive decision making.
    • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve ERP/MRP systems, operational workflows and reporting capabilities.
    • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility and efficiency.
    • Support automation initiatives that reduce manual activity and improve operational control.
    • Identify and apply practical AI tools to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, reduce manual activity and support business growth.
  • Leading People & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Build, develop and lead a high-performing team across warehouse, inventory, transport, and repair functions.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, engagement and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, IT and Product Management teams to deliver operational objectives.
    • Present operational performance, risks and improvement plans to senior leadership teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant operations management experience working within manufacturing, production, service, warehouse or supply chain environments.
  • Experience leading operational functions, including warehousing, inventory control, transport, production, assembly and repair operations.
  • Proven success delivering improvements in service, quality, productivity, cost and inventory accuracy.
  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Exposure and understanding of regulated or global manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using Oracle ERP systems (or similar) within a manufacturing, warehousing or supply chain environment.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, capable of making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

  • Lean / Six Sigma or APICS certification. (Desirable)
