Data Strategy & Software Design & Development Lead: Define the architectural roadmap for the Data Warehouse. Design complex Entity-Relationship (ER) models and database schemas utilizing Oracle partitioning and Index Organized Tables to manage multi-terabyte datasets.
ETL & Pipeline Governance: Architect robust ETL/ELT frameworks using PL/SQL, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting to consolidate data from disparate sources.
Enterprise Web Solutions Lead: Lead the design & development of enterprise web applications tailored for finance billing department and content operations team for facilitating external 'Game Providers' to maintain games metadata information with a wide variety of web technologies and frameworks such as PHP+Laravel and Oracle APEX. Knowledge of integrating OKTA Verify for web application identity verification and access management.
Senior application developer: Provide database and web support for in scope applications including design, maintenance and ongoing support.
Technical Design Authority and Code Management: Create and maintain technical design standards for software applications, including user manuals and system specifications and code management using source code control tools such as GIT, Bitbucket. The goal is to ensure quality standards are applied and maintained.
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including data teams' system analysts, project managers, DBA teams, wider Infrastructure teams and internal clients to ensure software solutions align with business goals. Coordinate the software delivery from external web development vendors and drive the UAT & regression testing. Oversee the PROD deployment and post Go Live support.
Experience
- 5+ years experience as a data architect in database solutions focused roles.
- 10+ years as Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer developing complex database applications.
- 5+ years developing web integrated database solutions.
- 10+ years of IT systems integration experience across enterprise ERP platforms.
- High availability data warehouse solutions.
- Cloud based database/web solutions.
Technical Skills
- Core Database: Expert-level Oracle 12c/19c (SQL, PL/SQL, ProC). Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and PostgreSQL is highly valued.
- Data Warehousing: Advanced knowledge of Star/Snowflake schemas, Materialized Views, and ETL automation.
- Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python (for Data Engineering), Unix Shell Scripting, PuTTY, SQL / PLSQL Developer.
- Application Frameworks: Deep experience with Oracle APEX for creating data-driven web applications and reporting portals. Ability to debug web application code written in PHP & Laravel framework.
- Frameworks: Mastery of TDD/BDD methodologies and ITIL V3 Service Management practices (Incident/Change management).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of production technical issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with our global team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a relevant information technology speciality.
- It is desirable to have Project management qualification - ITIL.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of SAN technologies.
- Able to support various operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Unix).
