As the Director of iGaming Communications at Light & Wonder, you will lead the strategic development and execution of all communications for our iGaming Business Unit. You are responsible for enhancing our brand presence, driving engagement, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. In this role, and in close collaboration with the VP, Communications and Corporate Affairs, you will lead the creation and execution of internal and external communications and events for the iGaming organization, collaborating closely with Product Marketing, Executive leadership, and the rest of the Global Communications team. You will also work with the CEO of iGaming and Chief of Staff to ensure his voice is consistent throughout the organization and develop strategic plans for brand, communications, and event activities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Alongside the VP of Communications and Corporate Affairs, lead creation of the strategy and execution of internal and external communications (internal engagement, media relations, social media) and events (iGaming industry and iGaming Team events) for the iGaming organization.
  • In cooperation with Product Marketing and Executive leadership, act as a strategic partner in developing a roadmap of Brand, Communications, and event activities and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with Corporate leads for PR, Social Media, and Internal Communications to establish consistency of metrics, measurement, content, and tone.
  • Craft overall strategy and tactics such as press releases to remain ahead of market trends and aligned with growth expectations.
  • Work closely with the CEO of iGaming to ensure his voice is consistent throughout the iGaming (and broader) organization.
  • Develop and maintain close partnership with key stakeholders including: VP of Corporate Affairs and Communications, iGaming Product Marketing team, iGaming CEO and Chief of Staff, VP of People Capability, iGaming, SVP of Product for iGaming, other members of the iGaming leadership team, and members of the Global Communications team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic direction and roadmap of international communications cadence and activities for the iGaming business.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • In partnership with the Public Relations and Social Media Manager, manage relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to maximize positive coverage and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, sales, and customer support to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Own and manage culture budget and activities for iGaming offices worldwide as part of internal engagement efforts.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and establish thought leadership.
  • Work in the L&W office in Chiswick at least 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and support in-the-moment creative initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in communications and brand marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the gaming or related industry.

  • Strong understanding of the gaming market, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
