The predicted salary is between 26824 - 29540 £ per year.

To start on 1 September 2026. Hours and weeks: 22 hours a week, term time only. Working pattern: Monday to Thursday from 10.45am - 3.45pm and from 10.45am - 3.15pm, every Friday with half an hour for lunch daily. Full time equivalent salary range: £26,824 - £29,540 per annum. Actual salary range: £13,337 - £14,687 per annum.

We are looking for a Business Support Assistant with responsibility for SEND to join our friendly and committed team at Light Hall School, where our fantastic students are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SENDCO and SEND team to keep key processes running smoothly, supporting a busy diary and email inbox for the SENDCO, and ensuring that communication, meetings, paperwork and records are well organised, accurate and completed on time.
  • Work alongside another colleague in the same role, who will provide support from 8.00am to 11.00am, helping to ensure consistent and effective support for the SEND team throughout the school day.
  • Help colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals receive the information and support they need, when they need it.
  • Assist with varied tasks including supporting access arrangements, preparing for annual reviews, organising parent meetings, helping with SEND events, responding to enquiries and ensuring student information is up to date and easy to access.

Qualifications and qualities

  • Be calm, professional and discreet, with strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to communicate sensitively with a wide range of people.
  • Experience of working in a school or SEND setting would be helpful, but warmth, reliability, initiative and commitment to supporting our wonderful students, including those with additional needs, are important.
