You’ll be the driving force behind our most complex scenic productions, leading our scenic team to integrate stunning scenic and staging elements into our prestigious live events. With extensive experience (typically 6+ years) in scenic construction and project management within the live events industry, you’ll lead the delivery of key projects ensuring our values of creativity, passion and excellence are visible in every joint and surface. You will have a deep level of expertise in scenic construction, and have proficiency in AutoCAD or a similar package to create technical construction drawings that serve as the blueprint for success. You will be confident in the specification and application of a wide range of construction materials and finishes, be comfortable in creating project paperwork and have the ability to handle budgets, manage logistics and produce accurate quotes that answer our client’s needs. On site, you’ll supervise the venue transformation, managing internal teams and external suppliers to ensure a seamless delivery that exceeds client expectations. Whilst not essential, a full driving licence and a car would be highly beneficial.
You will be a confident communicator, comfortable dealing with a wide range of clients to understand what makes them tick, and what their objectives are for each project. You’ll embrace every brief with both a creative and commercial eye to ensure we deliver great results whilst maintaining a healthy financial position. Your Typical Workday:
- Maintain excellent client communications in person and remotely to build relationships and confidence
- Receive and analyse client briefs with a willingness to ask lots of questions
- Respond to client briefs with considered questions, suggestions and professional wisdom
- Work with other team members to develop responses to briefs, leveraging others technical & creative excellence, growing others with your own knowledge
- Produce accurate, creative and well thought out drawings, quotations and proposals that answer client pain-points effectively
- Coordinate with the workshop, warehouse and technical departments, ensuring we deliver world class results
- Produce scenic build lists and construction documentation
- Lead onsite delivery, ensuring a high class finish
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive and thoughtful feedback
- Adapt swiftly to changing requirements while keeping teams aligned

The Role Details:
- Reports To: Head of Projects
- Schedule: Core Hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Events are a 24/7 game so project delivery outside of core hours will be part of the role.
- Location: Borehamwood (25mins from central London)
- Hybrid Working: We offer a hybrid working arrangement after six months, with two days working remotely and three days in the office, allowing new starters time to fully embed themselves in our processes and culture before transitioning to a more flexible way of working.
- Holiday: 30 Days including Bank Holidays
