Operational Compliance is a critical part of our business, helping us maintain the standards, controls and accreditations that support our customers, colleagues and continued growth.
As an Operational Compliance Executive, you’ll play a key role in supporting our AEO-F and ISO9001 frameworks, helping ensure compliance across customs, sanctions, health & safety and wider operational processes.
This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple aspects of operational compliance.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys learning, can take ownership of their work and is keen to broaden their expertise across a range of compliance disciplines.
Experience in every area isn’t expected – training and support will be provided to help you develop your knowledge and skills.
Your Role
- Support and maintain Ligentia’s AEO and ISO9001 management systems.
- Coordinate and conduct internal compliance, customs and quality audits.
- Support external audits and ensure actions are tracked through to completion.
- Monitor compliance controls, identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Support Health & Safety compliance activities and local site requirements.
- Manage sanctions screening controls and reporting processes.
- Assist with organisational compliance reviews and operational insurance claims.
- Provide customs, trade and compliance guidance to operational teams.
- Support customs consultancy activities, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across the business to promote a culture of compliance.
- What You’ll Need
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, customs, compliance or a related operational environment.
- Knowledge of UK Customs requirements, including CPCs and tariff classifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
- Good attention to detail and a risk-aware mindset.
- Experience of ISO9001 and/or AEO-F environments.
- Internal auditing experience.
- Health & Safety knowledge.
- Understanding of BIFA Standard Trading Conditions.
- Experience managing insurance claims processes.
- Experience using Cargo Wise or similar freight forwarding systems.
