About this role

As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with Sales to drive successful deals by showcasing deep product expertise and acting as a trusted technical advisor. You’ll lead discovery, navigate complex conversations, and simplify technical concepts into clear, actionable narratives that inspire customer confidence and drive long-term value. This role blends strategic insight with client-facing acumen, making you the bridge between Liftoff’s technology and customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to top advertisers, guiding complex conversations on attribution measurement and performance optimisation.
  • Partner closely with Sales to craft compelling technical narratives, proactively identify opportunities, and drive long-term client value with Accelerate and Vungle Exchange.
  • Lead deep discovery efforts, navigate technical objections in real-time, and drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop solutions for customers with advanced use cases, ensuring seamless execution through collaboration with Engineering and Product.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Liftoff platforms, including integrations with MMPs, SKAN, supply partners, and key measurement frameworks.
  • Translate complex technical features into business outcomes, influencing platform adoption and deepening customer engagement.
  • Investigate performance concerns by independently querying and analyzing data (via SQL), offering actionable insights to both customers and internal teams.
  • Leverage data to reinforce Liftoff’s point of view in technical evaluations, platform comparisons, and attribution debates.
  • Enable go‑to‑market teams through training, scalable technical resources, and guidance on objection handling, product positioning, and industry narratives.
  • Identify repeatable patterns across customer feedback and contribute to tooling, automation, and support workflows that enhance internal efficiency.
  • Represent Liftoff’s POV on critical industry topics such as SKAN vs. MMPs, PSA vs. Ghost Ads, MMM, and cross‑channel attribution in internal forums and customer conversations.
  • Stay abreast of major trends in mobile measurement and ad tech; proactively synthesize developments into actionable insights for sales and product strategy.
  • Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to shape product roadmaps, vet and promote platform changes, and influence feature rollouts based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • Customer‑centric mindset with demonstrated success in client‑facing roles.
  • Clear, adaptable communicator who can quickly convey complex technical ideas and insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders across written, verbal, and visual mediums.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and solve problems under pressure.
  • Skilled at requirement gathering and presenting data‑driven recommendations to senior audiences.
  • Willing to travel 10–25% for business needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience.

  • Demonstrable SQL proficiency: Capable of writing, optimizing, and interpreting intricate queries for analysis, debugging, and reporting purposes.
  • Hands‑on experience or strong interest in app & web development, iOS/Android architectures, and mobile app‑tracking solutions.
