Position Overview:

Lifted is a technology platform for social care providers in the UK to help them ethically recruit talented care workers from the UK who require visa sponsorship. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive individual to join our team as an IAA (formerly OISC) regulated Advisor to support our clients, social care providers. You must have at least 1 year's experience supporting clients with sponsorship license applications, CoS applications and SMS management. Experience in the social care sector is strongly preferred. You must be a Level 1 Advisor registered with the IAA. We will ask you to demonstrate this prior to interview. You will report to our Senior Immigration Advisor. We will also consider applications from more senior advisors or immigration lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employer Consultations: Provide expert advice and guidance to employers on their responsibilities and obligations under UK immigration law, and ensure compliance with the Points-Based System.
- Level 1 status: Taking on level 1 user status for care providers on the Home Office Sponsorship Management System and carrying out specific tasks such as Right to Work checks, applying for and assigning certificates of sponsorship, and compliance with the Points-Based System.
- Sponsor Licence Applications: Support employers in preparing and submitting applications for a Sponsor Licence, guiding them through the process and ensuring all necessary documentation is provided to the Home Office.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct comprehensive audits of employers' immigration processes and documentation to identify areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Right to Work Checks: Assist employers in implementing effective Right to Work checks for all employees, providing training and guidance to staff members responsible for conducting these checks.
- Training and Education: Deliver training sessions and workshops to employers and HR professionals on immigration law updates, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with employer clients, providing ongoing support and guidance to address their immigration-related needs effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- IAA Accreditation: Level 1 accreditation is essential, demonstrating a solid understanding of immigration law and regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience working as an immigration advisor or consultant, with a focus on providing advice to employers, is essential.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of UK immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, particularly as they relate to employer sponsorship and recruitment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex immigration concepts clearly and effectively to employers and HR professionals.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess employer-specific immigration needs and develop appropriate solutions.
