Otis are seeking an experienced Engineer to become part of our South East team. As a skilled Engineer, you will be stationed at a high-profile, prestigious client site in Dartford, where you will manage and maintain a portfolio of lift and escalator units. This role demands a high degree of responsibility and ownership at a busy, customer-facing retail location.
A Day in the Life:
- Perform maintenance and service visits for 100% of the 62 lift and escalator units on site.
- Manage the portfolio of units within your designated geographical area/territory.
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, aiming for a first-time fix.
- Carry out minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the customer by liaising daily and meeting contractual obligations/KPIs.
- Attend monthly review meetings on-site with your Service Area Manager and the customer to discuss operational success and necessary actions.
- Collaborate closely with Insurance Inspectors, assisting with inspections and addressing defects promptly.
What You Need to Succeed:
- NVQ Level 3 in lift/escalator service, maintenance, or repairs, or significant experience in the field.
- In-depth knowledge of various brands of equipment.
- Flexibility is key, as weekend work, overtime, and occasional night shifts may be required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
- Commitment to safety as a top priority.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability.
- Comfort with using electronic and digital tools.
