Your new school, Lift Winton, is a popular secondary school with fantastic facilities and a great reputation within the local community. We continue to be ambitious and want to become the best school in Hampshire. The school has recently appointed a new Principal, Myles Preston, who brings over ten years of experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Myles is passionate about working with and leading a fantastic community of likeminded staff who understand the potential that an excellent education has in unlocking doors for young people and who are dedicated to joining a school on a rapid journey of improvement.

Lift Winton is part of Lift Schools, a large MAT made up of 59 schools who offer staff some of the best training and career opportunities with access to tailored development, including executive coaching, bespoke training from external agencies, networking days with guest speakers, access to NPQ courses and much more.

Your new role: The Maths Department has a current team of seven, ranging from recently qualified to very experienced teachers. We are looking for somebody who can lead and shape the department, and turn us into the best Maths Department in Hampshire. This is a rare opportunity to have both freedom and support to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, broad and engaging. As a Trust, we have an ambitious 490 strategy; we want 90% of our GCSE pupils to be scoring grade 4 or above in English and Maths and we need you to help drive this success.

What you'll need to succeed: We are looking for a qualified maths teacher who has a proven track record of driving and improving results. You will be an approachable but accountable leader who can manage subject leaders and teachers within the faculty to raise and maintain the highest standards of progress, attainment, teaching and learning. You will be highly ambitious for our students, our team, and for raising standards across your department.
